Heat Treatment Of Thick-walled Stainless Steel Pipes During Heating

Date: | Read: 26

Stainless Steel Weld Elbow needs normalizing + tempering heat treatment and machining ports during heating, and the wall thickness needs to leave burn damage and machining allowance. In addition, the round tube blank must be cut by a cutting machine into a billet with a length of about one meter, and then sent to the furnace for heating via a conveyor belt. The steel billet is sent into the furnace for heating at a temperature of about 1200 degrees Celsius. The temperature control in the furnace is a key issue. After the round tube billet is taken out of the furnace, it must be pierced by a pressure piercing machine, and the fuel is hydrogen or acetylene. Generally, the more common piercing machine is the conical roller piercing machine. This piercing machine has a good production rate, good product quality, large perforation and expansion, and can be used for a variety of pipe fittings. After perforation, the round tube billet is successively three-roll oblique rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion. After extrusion, it is necessary to remove the tube and size it. The sizing machine rotates into the steel billet through a conical drill bit to punch holes to form pipe fittings. The passivation process of thick-walled stamped elbows can be divided into two types: wet and dry. What we need to pay attention to is that during the entire production process, the elbow needs to be made at the corresponding temperature, otherwise it will not achieve the corresponding effect.

The process parameters that affect the geometric shape of the pipe fittings are: the material, wall thickness and outer diameter of the blank for pushing, the material and shape of the mandrel head, the heating temperature and its distribution, and the pushing speed. The stamped elbow is made of malleable cast iron and is used for the connection of water supply pipes, steam pipes, gas pipes, and oil pipelines. The stamped elbow is black in color, has a right-angle bend, is of excellent quality, and is not easy to damage.
