Oil-free Degreasing Process And Method For Stainless Steel Pipe Elbows

Date: | Read: 17

Stainless steel pipe fittings for chemical and petroleum industries are degreased according to special requirements. The purpose of degreasing is to avoid handling degreased or stored materials in situations where grease or organic matter may cause an explosion, and to avoid mixing stored oil and organic materials. In order to ensure the activity of the degreasing catalyst, the grease content can also be controlled. In addition, degreasing controls the grease and organic content to ensure the purity of the product. No matter how many advantages stainless steel pipes have, installed stainless steel pipe fittings must be degreased section by section. If the stainless steel pipe fittings cannot be disassembled, they should be degreased before installation. For stainless steel pipe fittings with obvious oil stains or severe corrosion, they should be cleaned by steam blowing, sandblasting or other methods before degreasing.

Stainless Steel Weld Elbow degreasing and cleaning steps Water flushing:

Degreasing and cleaning steps: Water flushing → trichloroethylene solution cleaning → water flushing → compressed air (or nitrogen) purging.

Water flushing Use a small high-pressure water cleaning equipment to flush during flushing, and the pressure is controlled at about 0.6Mpa to ensure that the impurities inside the pipeline are flushed clean. The purpose is to remove dust, silt, detached metal oxides and other loose dirt in the pipeline.

Manual wiping and degreasing Pour the cleaning and degreasing mixture into the cleaning basin, add it according to the proportion, mix it evenly and use it, and wipe it repeatedly. During the cleaning process, the cleanliness of the degreasing cleaning liquid should be monitored. If the color of the degreasing cleaning liquid becomes dirty, the existing degreasing liquid should be drained and the degreasing cleaning liquid should be reconfigured. The purpose is to remove all kinds of organic matter such as engine oil, graphite, and anti-rust oil in the pipeline to ensure that the inside of the pipeline is clean during installation and meet the requirements of equipment operation.

Water flushing After the pipeline is degreased, flush it with a large amount of water. When the flushing water flowing out of the pipeline is clean, the water flushing can be ended. The purpose of water flushing after degreasing is to flush away the degreasing residual liquid in the pipeline.

Compressed air (or nitrogen) purging Use oil-free compressed air (or nitrogen) to purge, and after the inside of the pipeline is dried, use clean plastic cloth to wrap and seal the pipeline or parts, so as to ensure the cleanliness of the inside of the pipeline and avoid secondary pollution.
