Quality Problems That Are Easy To Occur During The Processing Of Stainless Steel Stamping Elbow Fittings
Stainless Steel Weld Elbow quality problems and defects that are easy to occur during processing:
The plastic processing of stamping elbows is often prone to the following quality defects, especially in the bending processing of pipes.
1. Wall thickness thinning and wrinkling. For example, the wall thickness will be thinned on the outside of the bending deformation zone. The thinning area is at the deformation point, and when the thinning is excessive, the pipe will rupture. From the perspective of deformation mechanics, it is a problem of excessive plastic hoop tensile stress. For example, the wall thickness will increase on the inside of the bending deformation zone. If the degree of deformation is too large, the inner wall of the pipe will become unstable and thickened, and wrinkles will occur in severe cases. Therefore, instability will not only occur under the action of tensile stress, but also under the action of compressive stress. This type of quality defect occurs when bending pipes with thick walls.
2. Cross-sectional shape distortion. During the bending process of pipes, if no measures are taken (such as filling the pipe with material or placing a core rod support, etc.), the cross-section of the pipe after bending is easy to become elliptical when there is no internal support.
Therefore, it is important to select the correct process method and take the process measures to prevent the above defects. Production practice shows that removing or minimizing quality defects to meet the use requirements of pipe fittings is the key to the process of plastic processing of pipes.
The production rate of stainless steel stamping elbows is relatively good, and the operation is simple, easy to mechanize and automate. Because stamping relies on stamping dies and stamping equipment to complete processing and production, the number of strokes of ordinary presses is about dozens of times per minute, and the pressure can reach hundreds or even thousands of times per minute. Each stamping stroke may produce a punch. There are fewer scraps, so less raw materials are wasted, and no other heating equipment is required, so it is a material-saving and energy-saving processing method. The range of machinable sizes is small; due to the cold deformation hardening effect of the material during the stamping of the stainless steel stamping elbow, the strength and stiffness of the stamping are relatively good. The stamping elbow determines the size and shape accuracy of the stamping elbow because the die determines the size and shape accuracy of the stamping elbow.
