There Are Several Types Of Steel Reducers And Reducers
Reducer: Also known as Stainless Steel Concentric & Eccentric Reducer, reducing straight-through, reducing short pipe, commonly known as steel butt-welded reducer, it is a kind of steel butt-welded pipe fittings, used to connect two pipes of different diameters, and plays the role of transition between large and small diameter pipe welding. It is divided into two categories: concentric reducers and eccentric reducers.
Classification of reducer (reducer) shapes
(1) Concentric reducers: reducers with the center on the same line are called concentric reducers.
(2) Eccentric reducers: reducers with the center not on the same line. Its function is to run the pipeline against the wall or the ground without taking up space, and to connect two pipes of different diameters to change the flow rate.
(3) Clamp reducers, mostly used for quick clamp connection reducers, suitable for low and medium pressure pipes for fire protection and water conservancy.
(4) Threaded reducers, divided into three types: internal thread reducers and external thread reducers or internal and external threads.
(5) Socket-type reducers: generally forged, forged high-pressure thick-wall reducers.
(6) Grooved reducers: mostly used for grooved connection reducers of fire protection pipes.
Process classification of reducers (reducers)
The commonly used forming processes are reducing and pressing, expanding and pressing, or reducing and expanding. For certain specifications of reducers, stamping, steel plate rolling and high-pressure forging can also be used.
Reducing/expanding forming
The reducing forming process of reducers is to put a tube blank with the same diameter as the large end of the reducer into a forming die, and press along the axial direction of the tube blank to make the metal move along the die cavity and shrink to form. According to the size of the diameter change of the reducer, it is divided into one-time pressing forming or multiple pressing forming.
Stamping forming
In addition to using steel pipes as raw materials to produce reducers, some specifications of reducers can also be produced by steel plates using stamping forming technology. The shape of the die used for stretching is designed with reference to the inner surface size of the reducer, and the steel plate after cutting is stamped and stretched by the die.
Steel plate rolling forming
After using steel plates for fan-shaped cutting, they are rolled into reducers and welded on reducer rolling machines. This process is mostly suitable for the production of large-diameter reducers, such as reducers with diameters of 1 to 6 meters.
High-pressure forged reducers
Forged reducers are integrated reducers directly forged from round steel and steel ingots. Generally, socket fittings and alloy high-pressure reducers are suitable for this process. This type of reducer is mostly used for high-pressure pipelines with high requirements for wall thickness pressure and sealing performance, such as steam pipelines, boiler pipelines, nuclear power pipelines, etc.
